How we review content
Health information can change what someone does next, so every page here says where its facts come from and whether a clinician has checked it.
Who writes
Pages are written by the Her Good Days editorial team. Writers may use AI tools to draft. A person checks every draft against its sources and against the app before anything is published. We do not invent experts, quotes, studies or personal stories.
Where facts come from
Health facts come from public guidance by medical bodies and health services, such as:
- ACOG, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists
- The Menopause Society
- the NHS in the UK
- the CDC and other national health agencies
- peer-reviewed research, when guidance does not cover a point
Each page lists its sources at the bottom. Facts about the app come from our own product documents and are checked against the app.
Medical review
A medical reviewer is a licensed clinician working in the field of the page: an OB-GYN, midwife or menopause specialist for cycle, pregnancy and menopause pages, and a registered dietitian for food. Their name, credential and the date they reviewed a page are shown on it, and their bio is listed below.
Articles that give health information stay unpublished until a reviewer signs them off.
What "Medical review: not yet reviewed" means
Some pages, such as the life-stage pages and the calculators, are live before review. They describe the app and give definitions taken from the sources listed on the page, with no treatment advice. The label stays until a reviewer has checked the page.
Calculators
The due date and ovulation calculators use standard date arithmetic and say so on the page. Their results are estimates. The ovulation estimator is not a method of birth control.
Updates and corrections
We re-check health pages when the guidance they rely on changes. If you spot a mistake, write to us from the contact page with the page address. We reply, and we fix confirmed errors and note the change on the page.
